Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced risk assessment frameworks for commercial insurance portfolios
- Analyze emerging market trends to identify potential risk exposures and opportunities
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop predictive models for catastrophic events
- Present risk mitigation strategies to C-level executives and regulatory bodies
- Maintain compliance with evolving insurance regulations (NYDFS, NAIC)
- Mentor junior analysts and drive continuous improvement in risk methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Statistics, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in commercial insurance risk analysis
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and R for data modeling
- Professional designation (FCAS, CERA, or ARM) preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in catastrophe modeling software (AIR, RMS)
- Strong understanding of reinsurance structures and alternative risk transfer
- Exceptional communication skills for complex technical presentations
