Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sophisticated risk assessment models for commercial insurance portfolios
- Analyze complex datasets to identify emerging risk patterns and market trends
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to refine risk-based pricing strategies
- Create comprehensive risk reports and executive dashboards for stakeholders
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance predictive analytics capabilities
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement of risk frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Finance (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in insurance risk analysis or underwriting
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, R, Python, or SAS for data manipulation
- Strong understanding of insurance principles and regulatory landscape
- Casualty/Property insurance specialization with proven track record
- Professional designation (ARM, CERA, or CPCU) highly desirable
- Exceptional analytical thinking with attention to detail
- Experience with catastrophe modeling software (AIR, RMS)
