Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced risk assessment models for commercial property/casualty portfolios
- Analyze complex insurance claims data to identify emerging trends and potential liabilities
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to refine pricing strategies and policy terms
- Prepare comprehensive risk reports for executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating AI and machine learning in risk prediction
- Maintain compliance with state and federal insurance regulations (NAIC guidelines)
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement of risk frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Statistics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in commercial insurance risk analysis or underwriting
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, R, and Python for data manipulation
- Professional certification (CERA, ARM, or CPCU) strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience with predictive modeling and statistical analysis
- Expertise in property/casualty insurance products and regulatory environments
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex data to non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced insurance environments
