Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth risk assessments for commercial and specialty insurance products
- Develop actuarial models to predict loss ratios and reserve requirements
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to refine risk selection criteria
- Analyze emerging market trends and regulatory impacts on insurance portfolios
- Present risk mitigation strategies to senior stakeholders
- Maintain compliance with NAIC and state insurance regulations
- Mentor junior analysts and improve departmental workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of property & casualty insurance risk analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in SAS, R, or Python for statistical modeling
- ACAS or CPCU certification preferred
- Demonstrated experience with loss ratio forecasting and reserving
- Strong understanding of reinsurance structures and treaty negotiations
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills
