Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced risk assessment models for property/casualty insurance portfolios using Python, R, and SQL
- Analyze complex datasets to identify emerging risk patterns and quantify potential losses across multiple product lines
- Develop pricing strategies that balance profitability, market competitiveness, and regulatory requirements
- Lead cross-functional projects to integrate AI/ML solutions into underwriting workflows
- Prepare comprehensive risk reports and actuarial opinions for executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Mentor junior analysts and champion data-driven decision-making across the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in insurance risk analysis, pricing, or underwriting
- Valid ASA or ACAS designation with progress toward Fellowship
- Expertise in predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis tools
- Deep understanding of insurance regulations (NAIC, state-specific requirements)
- Proven track record of translating complex data into actionable business strategies
- Strong presentation skills with ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
