Responsibilities
- Lead the Product Lifecycle: Own the end-to-end product roadmap for commercial insurance policies, from ideation and market research to launch and post-launch analysis.
- Data-Driven Strategy: Collaborate with actuaries and underwriters to develop sophisticated pricing models and risk assessment tools using advanced analytics.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact between technical teams, sales, legal, and executive leadership to ensure alignment on product vision and goals.
- Competitive Intelligence: Conduct deep market research to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and new opportunities for product differentiation.
- Requirements Definition: Create detailed product specifications and user stories that guide engineering teams in building scalable, secure, and compliant insurance platforms.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and product metrics to continuously iterate and improve customer retention and acquisition.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Product Management within the insurance, insurtech, or financial services sector.
- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of underwriting processes, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance (e.g., NAIC, state-specific regulations).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis; experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering high-impact products on time and within budget.
