Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the logistics fleet, including scheduling, dispatching, and route planning.
- Oversee fleet maintenance schedules, ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with DOT regulations.
- Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for the fleet operations team.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance (FMCSA, OSHA).
- Coordinate with supply chain managers to align fleet availability with delivery demands.
- Manage vendor relationships for repairs and parts procurement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management or logistics operations.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA compliance, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel advanced).
- Experience with route optimization software is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
