Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily dispatch and routing of all fleet vehicles to ensure on-time delivery and minimal vehicle downtime.
- Analyze operational data and logistics metrics to identify trends, reduce costs, and implement efficiency measures.
- Ensure strict adherence to DOT regulations, OSHA safety protocols, and company policies regarding driver conduct.
- Manage vendor relationships for truck maintenance, repairs, and fuel procurement to maintain fleet health.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of dispatchers and fleet support staff to foster a culture of safety and productivity.
- Conduct regular fleet audits and safety inspections to maintain optimal vehicle condition and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management, logistics coordination, or transportation operations.
- Strong proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and GPS tracking software (e.g., Geotab, Oracle Transportation Management).
- Proven ability to analyze operational data and generate actionable insights for process improvement.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with a focus on team development and conflict resolution.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
