Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations and scheduling of a diverse fleet of 100+ commercial vehicles.
- Manage vendor relationships for preventative maintenance, repairs, and parts procurement to minimize downtime.
- Analyze telematics data and fuel reports to identify trends, reduce costs, and optimize route efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to DOT, FMCSA, and local safety regulations through regular audits and driver training.
- Lead, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for a team of dispatchers and maintenance technicians.
- Develop and implement fleet safety programs to reduce accident rates and insurance premiums.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management, logistics operations, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficient in fleet management software (e.g., Geotab, Samsara, or equivalent).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and improve operational KPIs.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
