The Role
As the Senior Fleet Logistics Coordinator, you will be the bridge between our operational teams and our strategic goals. You will manage complex scheduling, vendor relations, and regulatory compliance to ensure our fleet operates at peak performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily fleet operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and route optimization to ensure timely deliveries.
- Analyze transportation data and KPIs to identify trends, reduce fuel consumption, and lower operational costs.
- Ensure full compliance with DOT regulations, FMCSA standards, and company safety policies.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with third-party carriers and vendors to secure the best service levels.
- Lead and mentor junior logistics staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Conduct regular fleet maintenance audits and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in fleet management, logistics coordination, or transportation operations.
- In-depth knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and safety compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in TMS software (e.g., Oracle Transportation Management, SAP, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable reports.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with external partners.
