Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the company's vehicle fleet (50+ units).
- Develop and implement cost-effective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Ensure strict adherence to DOT regulations, OSHA standards, and company safety policies.
- Analyze fleet performance data to optimize routes and reduce fuel consumption.
- Manage vendor relationships for repairs, parts, and insurance services.
- Train and mentor junior staff on proper vehicle handling and safety protocols.
- Prepare accurate budget reports and forecast future fleet needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fleet management or logistics coordination.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus, but not strictly required for the management role.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, and OSHA safety standards.
- Proficiency in fleet management software (e.g., Samsara, Geotab, or equivalent).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make high-pressure decisions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Associate degree in Business, Logistics, or Transportation preferred.
