Apex Capital Solutions is seeking a high-caliber Senior Financial Controller to join our elite finance team in the heart of New York City. Responsibilities
- Manage the entire full-cycle accounting process, including GL, AP/AR, and payroll functions.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Partner with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and tax filings.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to mitigate financial risk and ensure data integrity.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts for executive stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial systems and ERP workflows.
- Mentor and lead a small, high-performing team of junior accounting professionals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Expert-level proficiency in GAAP and financial regulatory standards.
- Advanced technical skills in ERP systems (NetSuite or SAP experience is a plus) and Microsoft Excel.
- Proven ability to manage high-stakes financial projects under strict deadlines.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail.
