Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process, develop long-term financial forecasts, and provide variance analysis to senior management.
- Strategic Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives and capital allocation decisions.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to financial systems, processes, and reporting dashboards to increase efficiency.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Marketing) to provide financial insights and support business planning.
- Compliance: Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records and processes adhere to regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CFA, ACA, or ACCA qualification is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, and forecasting within the finance or banking sector.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros) and experience with financial ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret complex datasets and present clear, concise insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial data effectively.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of UK financial regulations and compliance standards.
