Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and reported in a timely manner.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial reports, including variance analysis and budget vs. actual comparisons, to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial audit support.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal control procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows to maintain healthy cash flow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; Master’s degree or CPA/CMA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial accounting, ideally within a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present findings clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
