Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle monthly and quarterly financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, variance reports, and management accounts to support senior leadership.
- Ensure strict compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and statutory regulations (Companies Act).
- Manage the annual audit process, liaising effectively with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, identifying cost-saving opportunities and driving financial efficiency.
- Optimize financial systems and internal controls to mitigate risk and enhance operational workflows.
Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA qualified (Finalist candidates considered).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a Senior Accountant or Financial Controller role within a corporate environment.
- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS reporting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Sage).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.
- Strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
