Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and reconciliation of accounts.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely settlements.
- Perform variance analysis to identify trends and areas for cost improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory audit schedules and liaise with external auditors.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and manage depreciation schedules.
- Support the Finance Director in budget preparation and forecasting activities.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or part-qualified with substantial relevant experience.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in financial accounting within a corporate environment.
- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (Sage, Xero, or SAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
