Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and delivered within strict deadlines.
- Manage complex general ledger activities, including advanced accruals, prepayments, and multi-entity intercompany reconciliations.
- Analyze variances between actual results and budgets, providing high-level commentary and strategic recommendations to the executive leadership team.
- Oversee tax compliance filings and coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual financial reviews and audits.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls and SOPs to mitigate financial risk and safeguard corporate assets.
- Optimize financial reporting workflows through automation and the integration of modern cloud-based ERP tools.
- Provide technical mentorship and professional guidance to junior accounting staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; Master’s degree or MBA is highly preferred.
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or a 'Big 4' public accounting firm.
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Power Query) and modern ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP standards and current financial reporting regulations.
- Exceptional analytical skills with an uncompromising eye for detail and data integrity.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
