Key Duties
Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including Balance Sheets, P&L, and Cash Flow statements.
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity.
- Ensure strict adherence to statutory regulations, tax compliance, and internal controls.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and provide variance analysis for management.
- Oversee the junior accounting team, providing mentorship and guidance on best practices.
- Identify process improvements to streamline accounting operations and reduce manual errors.
Requirements
Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification (Fully qualified preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role within a UK-based company.
- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Macros) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
