Responsibilities
- Develop and implement personalized family support plans addressing housing stability, mental health, and economic security
- Provide crisis intervention and trauma-informed counseling for families experiencing domestic violence or homelessness
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, schools, and legal systems to ensure holistic care
- Lead community workshops on parenting skills, financial literacy, and conflict resolution
- Maintain detailed case documentation while maintaining strict confidentiality standards
- Advocate for policy changes affecting vulnerable populations through community partnerships
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work or related field (LCSW preferred)
- 5+ years direct experience in family services or child welfare
- Certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Advanced knowledge of Illinois DCFS regulations and community resources
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred
- Experience with data-driven case management systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic)
- Valid Illinois driver's license and reliable transportation
