Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive family support plans addressing housing stability, mental health needs, and economic empowerment
- Conduct risk assessments and crisis interventions for families experiencing domestic violence, homelessness, or substance abuse
- Coordinate multi-agency collaborations with healthcare providers, legal services, and educational institutions
- Provide trauma-informed counseling and advocacy for children and adults navigating complex systems
- Document case notes, progress reports, and service outcomes using electronic health records systems
- Facilitate support groups and workshops on parenting skills, financial literacy, and stress management
- Train and mentor junior staff on cultural humility and anti-oppressive practice methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related human services field
- LCSW or LSW licensure required (Illinois State Board)
- Minimum 3 years experience in family services or child welfare
- Certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy preferred
- Expertise in navigating public assistance systems (SNAP, TANF, Medicaid)
- Fluency in Spanish or other relevant community language
- Advanced crisis intervention de-escalation skills
- Strong data analysis capabilities for program evaluation and reporting
