Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans for workplace incidents
- Conduct regular facility audits and air quality monitoring to ensure compliance with EPA and TCEQ regulations
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 200+ employees across multiple sites
- Manage hazardous waste disposal protocols and spill prevention control countermeasure (SPCC) programs
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate safety-by-design principles into new projects
- Prepare regulatory reports and maintain permits for air emissions, wastewater discharges, and chemical inventories
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using leading/lagging EHS KPIs and data analytics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or energy sectors
- CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification required
- Expert knowledge of EPA, OSHA, TCEQ, and DOT regulations
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex) and data visualization tools
- Proven experience developing emergency response plans and crisis management protocols
- Strong project management skills with ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
- Excellent communication abilities for training diverse stakeholders and regulatory agencies
