Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs aligned with corporate sustainability goals and local regulations.
- Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and CAL-OSHA standards.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage the EHS budget, including training programs, safety equipment procurement, and regulatory reporting fees.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety protocols into daily operations and product development cycles.
- Facilitate regular safety training sessions and emergency preparedness drills for all employees.
- Monitor environmental metrics, including waste management, emissions, and energy consumption, to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in EHS management within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA compliance, and ISO 14001 environmental management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical data to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in EHS software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
