Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Conduct rigorous facility audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Lead regulatory compliance programs for air/water permits and hazardous materials handling
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives reducing workplace incidents by 20% annually
- Manage hazardous waste minimization and spill response protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS into operational workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive EHS experience in industrial/manufacturing settings
- OSHA 501 certification and CHMM/ASP credentials preferred
- Expertise in EPA regulations (RCRA, CERCLA) and TCEQ compliance
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex)
- Proven track record of reducing EMR and workers' compensation costs
- Strong data analytics skills for trend analysis and reporting
- OSHA 500 trainer certification required
