Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Conduct rigorous facility audits and root cause analyses for incidents near misses
- Lead hazardous waste management programs ensuring EPA RCRA compliance
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 200+ personnel
- Manage environmental permits including air quality and stormwater discharge
- Coordinate emergency response drills and maintain crisis management protocols
- Analyze EHS data using digital platforms to identify improvement opportunities
- Represent company at regulatory agency hearings and industry forums
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or energy sector
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) credential required
- Advanced proficiency in OSHA VPP and EPA compliance frameworks
- Experience with digital EHS software platforms (e.g., Cority, Enablon)
- Demonstrated success in leading behavioral-based safety initiatives
- Strong knowledge of Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regulations
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to influence all organizational levels
