Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular site audits and risk assessments to ensure 100% compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
- Lead root-cause analysis for all workplace incidents and implement corrective action plans.
- Facilitate high-level EHS training programs for staff at all organizational levels.
- Manage environmental permits, waste management protocols, and emission monitoring systems.
- Collaborate with operations leadership to integrate safety into daily production workflows.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and external safety auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in an industrial or manufacturing EHS role.
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) preferred.
- Deep knowledge of federal (OSHA/EPA) and state-level environmental and safety regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills with a proven track record of influencing safety culture.
- Proficiency in incident tracking software and MS Office Suite.
