Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation to prevent reoccurrence.
- Deliver engaging safety training programs and facilitate safety committee meetings across all departments.
- Oversee hazardous waste management and environmental monitoring programs (air, water, and soil).
- Maintain accurate EHS records and prepare regulatory reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing the facility's carbon footprint and operational waste.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in EHS within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) designation preferred.
- Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to influence culture and communicate complex safety metrics to diverse audiences.
- Strong technical skills in data analysis and EHS management software.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and emergency response experience.
