Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001 standards
- Conduct facility audits and risk assessments to identify environmental hazards and safety vulnerabilities
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees
- Manage hazardous waste disposal, air permits, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Drive sustainability initiatives including waste reduction and carbon footprint analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS into operational planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or energy sector
- OSHA 30-hour certification and CHMM/ASP credentials required
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex)
- Demonstrated success implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems
- Strong knowledge of federal/state environmental regulations (TCEQ, EPA)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to influence all organizational levels
