Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 45001/14001 standards
- Conduct facility audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations with root cause analysis
- Lead emergency response planning and hazardous materials handling compliance
- Train 500+ employees on OSHA regulations, spill prevention, and personal protective equipment protocols
- Manage environmental permits, air/waste compliance, and sustainability reporting
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design inherently safer processes
- Drive continuous improvement through KPI tracking and corrective action programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or heavy industry
- OSHA 501 certification and certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation
- Expert knowledge of EPA regulations, TSCA, and state environmental codes
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Cority, Enviance, ProcessMAP)
- Proven success implementing behavioral safety programs and reducing TRIR by 40%+
- Strong data analysis skills with experience leading EHS transformation projects
- Excellent written/verbal communication for regulatory reporting and training
