Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis using advanced methodologies like TapRooT®
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for 500+ employees across multiple facilities
- Monitor environmental compliance for air emissions, wastewater, and hazardous waste management
- Conduct ergonomic assessments and industrial hygiene surveys to mitigate workplace hazards
- Interface with regulatory agencies including TCEQ, EPA, and OSHA during audits and inspections
- Drive sustainability initiatives including carbon footprint reduction and waste minimization programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- 8+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or energy sector
- Active certification as CSP, CIH, or CHMM with continuing education credits
- Expert knowledge of federal/state EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, TCEQ)
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Enablon, or ProcessMAP)
- Proven track record of reducing TRIR rates by 40%+ through innovative safety programs
- Strong data analytics skills with ability to translate metrics into actionable insights
- OSHA 501/502 and HAZWOPER 40-hour certification preferred
