Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead regulatory compliance audits for EPA, TCEQ, and OSHA requirements across 15+ facilities
- Design and execute industrial hygiene monitoring programs for chemical, physical, and biological hazards
- Manage emergency response protocols including spill containment, fire prevention, and natural disaster preparedness
- Drive sustainability initiatives including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and carbon footprint tracking
- Conduct root cause analyses for incidents and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Mentor EHS specialists and coordinate cross-functional safety committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or energy sectors
- Professional certifications (CSP, CIH, or CHMM) required
- Expertise in federal/state regulatory frameworks (OSHA, EPA, TCEQ)
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex, or similar platforms)
- Proven track record of reducing TRIR rates by 30%+
- Strong data analysis skills with ability to translate metrics into actionable strategies
- Excellent presentation skills for executive stakeholder communications
