Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses for environmental and safety events
- Oversee hazardous waste management programs and air/water quality compliance
- Conduct facility audits and ensure adherence to federal/state regulations (EPA, TCEQ)
- Design emergency response plans and crisis management protocols
- Mentor EHS specialists and deliver regulatory compliance training
- Interface with regulatory agencies during inspections and permit applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years progressive EHS experience in industrial/manufacturing environments
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) certification required
- Proven track record of reducing TRIR rates below 1.0
- Advanced knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and TCEQ regulations
- Experience managing EHS software platforms (e.g., Enablon, Intelex)
- Strong data analysis skills with KPI development experience
- OSHA 501 and HAZWOPER certifications preferred
