Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all EHS programs, ensuring full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state-level environmental regulations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety training modules for multi-disciplinary site teams.
- Conduct rigorous internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards before they escalate.
- Serve as the primary liaison for local and federal environmental regulatory agencies.
- Drive continuous improvement in sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction and energy efficiency programs.
- Manage emergency response planning, drills, and post-incident investigation reports.
- Analyze safety metrics to provide actionable insights for executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in EHS within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and safety compliance laws.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in incident tracking software and MS Office Suite.
