Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA VPP standards
- Conduct facility audits and risk assessments for chemical, physical, and biological hazards
- Lead emergency response planning and crisis management protocols
- Manage hazardous waste disposal and air/water quality monitoring programs
- Train staff on safety procedures and regulatory compliance requirements
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate safety into new facility designs
- Prepare EHS reports for executive leadership and regulatory agencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years EHS management experience in industrial/manufacturing settings
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) credential
- Deep expertise with EPA, OSHA, and TCEQ regulations
- Advanced proficiency in EHS software platforms (e.g., Enviance, Intelex)
- Strong data analysis skills with experience creating safety dashboards
- OSHA 501 certification or equivalent hazardous materials training
- Proven track record of reducing incident rates by 30%+
