Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and environmental compliance inspections across facilities
- Investigate incidents, prepare root cause analyses, and implement corrective action plans
- Deliver engaging safety training programs including emergency response, hazardous materials handling, and regulatory updates
- Manage hazardous waste disposal, air/water permits, and sustainability reporting initiatives
- Lead safety committees and foster continuous improvement through employee engagement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, energy, or heavy industrial environments
- OSHA 30-hour certification and familiarity with EPA/RCRA regulations
- Proven track record in developing safety protocols and reducing incident rates
- Strong proficiency with EHS software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Certification as CSP, CHMM, or similar EHS designation preferred
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to train diverse audiences
