Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce EHS policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001 standards
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and incident investigations
- Lead employee training programs on safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Manage hazardous waste disposal and pollution control systems
- Monitor air/water quality and ensure compliance with local/state/federal laws
- Coordinate emergency response drills and crisis management
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for executive leadership
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using EHS KPIs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
- OSHA 30-hour and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification
- Advanced knowledge of EPA regulations and hazardous materials handling
- Proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Intelex, Enablon)
- Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and trend reporting
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proven track record of reducing incident rates by 30%+
