Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of site-specific EHS strategies to achieve zero-incident goals.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard analysis for all industrial processes.
- Ensure 100% compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state-level environmental regulations.
- Manage environmental permitting, waste management, and emissions reporting programs.
- Lead internal EHS training initiatives to foster a culture of safety awareness among all employees.
- Investigate all incidents, near-misses, and potential hazards, implementing effective corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to integrate safety into daily production operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in an industrial or manufacturing EHS role.
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) designation preferred.
- Deep knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Expertise in state and federal environmental regulatory reporting requirements.
- Proven track record of building successful safety cultures in unionized or large-scale industrial environments.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and project management skills.
