Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001 standards
- Conduct risk assessments and audits for industrial facilities, implementing corrective action plans
- Oversee hazardous waste management, air quality monitoring, and spill prevention protocols
- Lead emergency response planning and incident investigations with root cause analysis
- Train employees on safety procedures, environmental compliance, and sustainable practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS into operational processes
- Manage EHS reporting and ensure regulatory compliance across state and federal requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive EHS experience in industrial/manufacturing environments
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation
- Expert knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA compliance, and waste management protocols
- Proven experience developing and implementing EHS management systems
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Intelex, Cority)
- Exceptional leadership abilities with demonstrated success in safety culture transformation
- Excellent communication skills for training, reporting, and stakeholder engagement
