We are currently seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our dynamic team in Houston, Texas.
In this critical role, you will be the driving force behind our safety initiatives, ensuring strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. You will partner with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks, conduct comprehensive audits, and champion a proactive safety mindset. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and environmental audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other relevant regulatory agencies.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Manage hazardous waste disposal programs and ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to integrate EHS principles into daily workflows and project planning.
- Prepare and submit required environmental and safety reports to regulatory bodies and corporate leadership.
- Stay current on emerging regulations, industry trends, and best practices in EHS management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, petrochemical, or heavy industry.
- Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) are highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, as well as HAZWOPER certification.
- Proven track record of developing and delivering effective safety training programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct thorough incident investigations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
