Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive EHS programs to ensure strict compliance with OSHA, EPA, and TCEQ regulations.
- Lead incident investigation processes, executing rigorous root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions to mitigate future operational risks.
- Design and deliver site-specific safety training modules that foster a proactive, human-centric safety culture.
- Manage environmental compliance portfolios, including air emissions, waste stream management, and wastewater discharge permits.
- Conduct regular facility audits and job safety analyses (JSAs), tracking corrective action plans to swift and permanent closure.
- Partner with executive leadership to define EHS key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on sustainability progress.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive EHS management experience within an industrial, manufacturing, or chemical processing environment.
- Professional certification (e.g., CSP - Certified Safety Professional or CIH - Certified Industrial Hygienist) highly preferred.
- In-depth, working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, TCEQ).
- Proven track record of successfully lowering TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate) and driving safety-first organizational change.
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to influence decision-making at all levels.
