Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS management systems to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
  • Conduct regular site audits, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses to identify and mitigate operational risks.
  • Lead incident investigation processes, including root cause analysis and the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Facilitate specialized safety training programs for cross-functional teams to foster a proactive safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of professional EHS experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) is strongly preferred.
  • Deep working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and safety laws.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, from floor personnel to executive leadership.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making and report generation.
