EcoCore Industrial Solutions is seeking a high-impact Senior EHS Manager to spearhead our safety initiatives across our flagship Houston facilities. In this role, you will define the roadmap for environmental compliance and workplace safety, driving a 'zero-harm' culture in a fast-paced, high-stakes industrial environment.
We are looking for a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between regulatory requirements and operational efficiency, ensuring that our team performs at its peak while maintaining the highest global standards for health and safety.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS management systems to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
- Conduct regular site audits, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses to identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Lead incident investigation processes, including root cause analysis and the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Facilitate specialized safety training programs for cross-functional teams to foster a proactive safety-first mindset.
- Manage environmental permitting, emissions monitoring, and waste management programs to ensure full regulatory adherence.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external regulatory bodies, insurance auditors, and local emergency response agencies.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce injury rates and environmental footprint.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of professional EHS experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) is strongly preferred.
- Deep working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and safety laws.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, from floor personnel to executive leadership.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making and report generation.
- Expertise in emergency response planning and crisis management.
