Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS policies and procedures aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA standards.
- Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Lead investigations into accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies (EPA, Cal-OSHA) to ensure timely reporting and maintain all necessary certifications.
- Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for employees and contractors.
- Monitor environmental performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with operations leadership to integrate safety into daily workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a high-tech or industrial environment.
- Professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, ARM, CPO) is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, Cal-OSHA, and EPA guidelines.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills to influence culture change.
- Proficiency in EHS management software and data analysis tools.
