You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our operations adhere to the highest regulatory standards while fostering an environment where safety is integrated into every aspect of our workflow. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader capable of driving cultural change and implementing innovative safety technology.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS strategies to ensure 100% compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state-level regulations.
- Lead internal safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Manage environmental permitting processes and reporting, including air, water, and waste management.
- Coordinate and deliver high-impact safety training programs for cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce workplace injuries and environmental impact.
- Collaborate with operations leadership to integrate safety protocols into new capital projects and process improvements.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external regulatory agencies and emergency services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in an EHS role within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) preferred.
- Deep understanding of EPA and OSHA regulatory requirements and reporting frameworks.
- Proven track record of managing complex safety programs and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a passion for building a robust, behavior-based safety culture.
