Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive EHS strategies that align with corporate sustainability goals.
  • Lead internal and external audits to ensure rigorous compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state-level environmental regulations.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis (RCA) for all incidents and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Design and deliver high-impact safety training programs for diverse operational teams.
  • Oversee hazardous waste management programs and air quality monitoring initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate safety-by-design principles in all new facility upgrades.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory agencies and serve as the primary point of contact for EHS inspections.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive EHS leadership experience in heavy industry or manufacturing.
  • Professional certification required (CSP, CIH, or CHMM preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and Texas state environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Proven track record of building safety cultures and reducing TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate).
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to influence senior management and frontline staff.
  • Proficiency in EHS management software and data analytics platforms for incident tracking.
