Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive EHS strategies to ensure 100% compliance with OSHA, EPA, and TCEQ regulations.
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems across the site.
  • Conduct advanced root-cause analyses (RCA) for near-misses and incidents, implementing data-driven corrective actions.
  • Orchestrate facility-wide safety audits and environmental impact assessments to identify and mitigate latent risks.
  • Manage the EHS budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities through sustainable waste management and energy efficiency.
  • Cultivate a proactive safety culture through innovative training programs and employee engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive EHS leadership experience within a heavy manufacturing or energy environment.
  • Active Professional Certification required (CSP - Certified Safety Professional or CIH - Certified Industrial Hygienist).
  • Proven track record of reducing Total Recordable Incident Rates (TRIR) through behavioral safety programs.
  • Expert-level knowledge of hazardous material handling, air permitting, and industrial hygiene protocols.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders from the shop floor to the C-suite.
