Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS management systems across regional manufacturing sites.
- Conduct rigorous risk assessments and hazard analysis to proactively mitigate workplace incidents.
- Lead regulatory compliance audits (OSHA, EPA, TCEQ) and ensure all documentation exceeds standard requirements.
- Design and deliver high-impact safety training programs for cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in environmental sustainability, waste reduction, and energy efficiency.
- Oversee emergency response planning and lead incident investigation teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Manage relationships with external regulatory bodies and stakeholders to maintain the company’s reputation as an industry leader.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in EHS within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) designation strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to influence organizational culture and lead change management initiatives.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making and performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
