Responsibilities
- Lead EHS Strategy: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety management system (EHSMS) aligned with ISO 14001 and OSHA standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor changes in local, state, and federal environmental regulations to ensure the organization maintains full compliance and avoids legal liabilities.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments and site audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Incident Management: Lead investigations into accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Culture of Safety: Foster a proactive safety culture through regular training programs, toolbox talks, and safety awareness campaigns.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Drive the company's sustainability goals, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and green building practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, or a related technical field.
- Certification: Professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, CPEA, CHST) is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in EHS management within a corporate or industrial setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in EHS software (e.g., SAP EHS, Enablon) and MS Office Suite.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to executive leadership.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
