In this high-visibility role, you will lead a culture of safety excellence, ensuring alignment with OSHA, EPA, and internal corporate standards while mentoring a cross-functional team of safety specialists.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS strategies to achieve 'Zero Harm' targets across operations.
- Ensure 100% compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations (EPA, TCEQ).
- Lead root-cause analysis investigations for incidents and implement corrective action plans.
- Conduct regular facility audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and operational improvements.
- Oversee hazardous waste management, spill prevention, and air emissions monitoring programs.
- Facilitate EHS training programs to foster a proactive safety-first culture among all employees.
- Manage relationships with regulatory agencies, insurance carriers, and external auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing EHS leadership role.
- Professional certification required (CSP, CIH, or CHMM preferred).
- Deep knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record of improving safety performance metrics in a high-complexity environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in EHS management software and data analysis tools for incident reporting.
