Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS management systems, policies, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.
- Lead and conduct thorough risk assessments, hazard analyses, and incident investigations, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, TCEQ, etc.) and company standards.
- Oversee and coordinate EHS training programs for all employees, fostering a proactive safety culture.
- Manage environmental permits, reporting requirements, and sustainability initiatives, striving for continuous improvement in environmental performance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
- Analyze EHS data and metrics to identify trends, recommend improvements, and report performance to senior leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance EHS performance, reduce risks, and optimize operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety management, preferably within an industrial, manufacturing, or energy sector.
- Professional certification highly preferred (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM, P.E.).
- Demonstrated expertise in federal and state EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, TCEQ, etc.).
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage effective EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage at all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in EHS software and data management tools.
