Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS strategies to achieve zero-incident operational targets.
- Lead regulatory reporting and maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state-specific environmental agencies.
- Conduct periodic site audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Manage hazardous waste disposal protocols and ensure full adherence to waste management regulations.
- Coordinate emergency response planning and lead monthly safety committee meetings.
- Facilitate EHS training programs for all staff to foster a proactive safety culture.
- Analyze safety metrics to report performance trends and improvement opportunities to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in EHS leadership within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) certification preferred.
- Deep understanding of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
- Expertise in OSHA standards and environmental permitting processes.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive organizational change.
- Strong technical writing skills for policy development and incident investigation reports.
