Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive EHS strategy to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state-level regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis (RCA) to drive continuous safety improvements.
- Oversee hazardous waste management, spill prevention, and air emissions monitoring programs.
- Facilitate company-wide safety training initiatives to foster a proactive EHS culture across all departments.
- Prepare and submit detailed regulatory reports to government agencies while managing site audits.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate safety-by-design principles into new manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing EHS role.
- Proven expertise in OSHA, EPA, and NFPA compliance standards.
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) designation preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in managing complex data and reporting systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and lead cross-functional teams toward safety excellence.
- High proficiency in modern EHS management software and MS Office Suite.
